Northern Film Network is closed
Northern Film Network closed as a company on the 30th April 2010 and will no longer run events, send weekly updates or maintain this website. The last weekly bulletin will arrive in your inbox on the 30th April.
It is important that we acknowledge all of the hard work over the last 10 years and celebrate the achievements of all our members.
Join NFN’s Ning
NFN has not gone forever as we feel that social networking will allow some of the members to take over the network and keep it alive. So contribute to the Ning site, upload news, jobs, events and keep in touch with emerging filmmakers from the Northwest and keep the spirit of NFN alive!

A Years Free Shooting People Membership for NFN Members
Shooting People is the world’s largest network of independent filmmakers. There are over 35,000 members in the UK and US who share tips, recommendations and news, and cast their films using the nine Shooting People daily bulletins. Over 300 films each week are cast and crewed using our services.
Shooting People members can create their own profiles, which are searchable by the rest of the membership, and can also upload their films. The site maintains the UK Independent Film Calendar, hosts lots of interviews, blogs and free filmmaking resources, and members only special offers.
When they heard that the Northern Film Network was closing they wanted to help. ‘Shooting People’s core purpose is to connect filmmakers and facilitate collaboration, so we thought we’d invite you all to join our community.’
They’re offering all NFN members a year’s free membership to Shooting People. To sign up just visit the NFN offer page on the Shooting People site and follow the links.
Offer Expires 28th May 2010
