Blackburn: The Blaine Brothers + Barrington Paul Robinson, Filmmakers

Oct 12, 04:04 AM by northernfilmnetwork

Tuesday 18th March, 7pm. Scholars Restaurant, Blackburn College, Victoria Building, Feilden Street, Blackburn, BB2 1LH. Free.

Ben and Chris Blaine started making films when they were teenagers, with money won cheating at poker. Since 1997 they have made 21 short films, including If Looks Could Kill a Super8 Western, Free Speech starring a naked Danny Dyer, and most recently, the Cinema Extreme funded late-nite Channel 4 favourite Hallo Panda. Producer Barrington Paul Robinson met the Blaines in 2003 and ever since his job has been to put other people’s money where the Blaines mouths are. Like all the best producers Barrington understands that the truth can get you in anywhere, especially if you dress it up right. Refreshments will be provided.
