Film Club at the Roxy's Robin Hutt Award for Aspiring Filmmakers
Feb 29, 04:19 PM by Kate TaylorThis award has been created to honour the memory of Robin Hutt, a founder member of the film club, who’s hard work and guidance has helped to maintain the club’s proud achievement of having one of the largest memberships in the country. The committee has decided to give an award of £500 to be offered once a year to a budding Cumbrian filmmaker. The award will be aimed at filmmakers who are actively involved in filmmaking and may need a boost to get their film off the ground or to develop their filmmaking skills. Awards will be allocated on an annual basis, and the decision will be made by the Film Club at the Roxy committee. You can apply at any time, but the cut-off date for submissions for this year is 1pm on Monday 30th June 2008. The award will be made in July-August 2008. For more details on how to apply visit the Film Club at the Roxy’s website.
