Propeller TV unveils the ShortFest film programme

Short, but perfectly filmed: Propeller TV unveils the ShortFest film programme – a new festival of Short Films to watch from the comfort of your sofa, 27-31 March 2008. Propeller TV delivers another first to the nation’s TV screens with ShortFest, a television and web-based celebration of short film. Launching on Thursday 27th March the festival includes five days of short films across a range of genres. Both established filmmakers and those new to the industry have submitted films to ShortFest giving television audiences a unique chance to see the very finest short films in their own living room. A prestigious judging panel drawn from the film and television industry has been invited to view 21 shortlisted films to find the best example of: Animation, Drama, Comedy, Experimental, European and World short film. There will also be a prize for the Best Student Film and Best Film overall. The winning films will headline the festival screenings and feature in the online highlights at www.propellertv.co.uk. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Leeds on Thursday 27 March, the festival’s opening night and receive prizes that include access to illustrious filmmakers networks, a digital video camera, training courses, specialist software and a trip to Bosnian Short Film Festival, ‘Kratkofil’.
