BBC Radio Leeds is currently the BBC Local Radio Station of the Year. BBC Look North is the most popular TV News programme in Yorkshire.

They need a new scheduler – to help us make more award-winning programmes! Working to the Lead Scheduler, you’ll schedule TV and Radio staff here in conjunction with the Editor TV News, Assistant Editors and the Managing Editor of Radio Leeds.

You will be responsible for ensuring that business workload is met by suitably skilled and experienced staff, by liaising effectively with both programme teams and the business community. You’ll need to administer and manage all documentation associated with this and be prepared to work flexibly within a small team.

Excellent skills in planning and organising are essential as is the ability to forward plan. An understanding of scheduling systems is also necessary.

In addition, you’ll also need to communicate effectively with a range of staff and programme-makers, sometimes in pressurised situations. Equally important is a thorough understanding of BBC Local and Regional services and knowledge of the diverse make-up of our audience.
