In conversation with Adrian Wootton, CEO of Film London, he will discuss Arena’s music films over this time, his highs and lows and what, given the opportunity, he might have done differently during the course of his career in television production. The Agony and Ecstasy of Phil Spector Spector was the American music producer who created the Wall of Sound and had an immense impact on the direction of popular music. His life has been no less extraordinary. The film was made in 2008, before Spector was pronounced guilty of homicide. In this, his first screen interview, the reclusive Spector also spoke of the musical instincts that led him to create some of the most enduring hit records of all time, from ‘You’ve Lost that Lovin’ Feelin’ to ‘River Deep, Mountain High’.
