This year Sheffield Doc/Fest will be accepting film submissions on DVD and, for the first time, via online platforms such as Vimeo and Daily Motion. Why post DVDs when you can get them up on line, save a few quid on materials & freight and help the environment in the meantime?!

They are particularly looking for Cross-Platform films again this year. But as always, Doc/Fest is looking for new, exciting documentaries films on any subject, of any length.

Rushes Soho Shorts Art Work Challenge
Mar 10, 01:10 PM by Kate TaylorDeadline for artwork submissions is the 7th May 2010.
With only 6 weeks to go for the closing deadline for films, Rushes Soho Shorts sets a new challenge; to design a piece of artwork to be the face of the festival magazine.
The festival was created 12 years ago from a need to showcase amazing work that was only ever seen by a few, to spotlight the talent and breadth of skill making and provide an opportunity to network and an outlet to watch and enjoy films with a wide audience. Since then, the shorts ‘scene’ has become more than the sum of its parts, it’s an inspirational ground for simple, often provocative and exciting ideas.
The artwork/design for the cover should reflect the creative, inspirational, innovative, technical and eclectic nature of the festival and its film-makers. Simply? It should be inspired by original and stimulating ideas told through the medium of film making.
The winning submission must also have selling capacity as the image will effectively be the face and recognised image of this year’s festival internationally. It will adorn the front cover of the magazine with 2 runners up taking up full pages within the magazine. A selection of the best work will be exhibited during and after the Rushes Soho Shorts Festival.
The competition is free and open to anyone over the age of 18.
